Born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, Amanda got her start in the legal field at an early age, working in her father’s law firm during summer breaks in high school. She left Chesapeake to attend college at East Carolina University (Go Pirates!). Upon graduation, she moved briefly to Washington, D.C. before finding her home in Raleigh where she has resided since 2008.

After graduating from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Amanda abandoned all sensible plans for employment and seized the opportunity to co-create her dream job and company, Capital City Law.

Outside of the office, Amanda can be found spending time with those closest to her, both human and feline. Together with them, she enjoys taking traveling adventures, biking, exploring Raleigh and living life to the fullest.
